Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Lodi Residents Directory does not keep a copy of that search on its own servers. A message sent to the contact address is visible to the operators only to the extent needed to read and answer it.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for site health and broad page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, when present, advertising measurement.
How the Information Is Used
Technical data is used to operate the reference, resolve faults, understand traffic, and improve the pages. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from this limited information.
External Portals and Links
Links lead to San Joaquin County and California records portals, Lodi resources, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each outside service sets its own privacy rules. Those rules govern information submitted after leaving this reference, including information sent through sponsored results.
Who May Process It
Hosting and support providers may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above when those services are enabled. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise is not shared as a matter of course.
Security and Retention
The connection uses encryption, and logs are kept only for as long as the purposes above call for them. No account, password, or user profile is maintained on this reference.
People Under 18
The service is intended for adults rather than children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from someone under 18. If a minor’s information was sent to the contact address, ask for its deletion.
Your California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following provisions, may provide access, correction, deletion, opt-out, and limits on sensitive personal information for data held by covered businesses, subject to its exemptions. Because this reference keeps very little, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing information within its control. Use the Contact page. Public records held by California, San Joaquin County, or Lodi offices are outside this reference; a removal request for those belongs with the custodian.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will be posted here when the practices change. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the posted version.
