Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using Lodi Residents Directory. Use of the reference means these conditions are accepted; do not use it if you disagree.

1. The Nature of the Reference

Lodi Residents Directory is a private reference that describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning Lodi and San Joaquin County, California. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with a city, county, state, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Acceptable Use

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make any decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Function

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Neither its text nor a result from a linked tool is a consumer report. None of the material may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. Outside Services

County portals, state services, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Lodi Residents Directory is not responsible for their content, uptime, pricing, or data practices.

5. No Warranty

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Accuracy, completeness, currency, portal operation, and result quality are not promised.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this reference or an outside resource, including a decision based on a record found through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that arises from misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Site Materials

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. A link or brief attributed quotation is welcome; republishing a full page or copying the material systematically is not.

9. Changes

A new version may be posted here when these terms change. Continued use after posting means the revised terms are accepted.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the reference, at the operators’ discretion and without notice.

11. California Law

These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-records references use the California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 and following, while California privacy references include the Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. Those statutes govern the public agencies or covered businesses to which they apply, not this reference’s private descriptions of records.

12. Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
